Temple of Dendara Reconstructionn

Step Five - The finished Hypostyle hall

The file with all the elements of the Hypostyle hall has grown to 75MB so I've had to upgrade my computer. At the beginning of this project I was running a Pentium III 500Mhz with 512Meg of RAM. This is no longer good enough, so I replaced the motherboard and the CPU and am now running a 1400Mhz Athlon with 523Meg of RAM

Now that the model is complete I can make lots of high quality images from any angle. I can also set up the scene so that it can be rendered under different lighting conditions. Indeed I can make a fly though animation similar to those that appear on my CD ROM.

Originally there would have been a wooden gate, but I don't have any idea how it would have appeared. I will invent one for the time being and replace it later with a more authentic one when I've done some research.

Eventually I want to photograph real people, dressed in authentic costume, against a blue screen. The idea is to superimpose them on this image. Imagine going back in time with a camera and photographing an ancient religious procession.
